We thoroughly LOVE date nights, date days, date weeks....ANYTHING along those lines. Last night my mom came over and "took up shop" so that we could have a nice, quiet dinner at Salt Grass Steakhouse. It was so nice to not have to worry about picking up cups off the floor or cutting up food into bite size or keeping my two year old IN his seat because he wants to be a "big boy" and sit in a "big boy"seat.
This morning, Jeremiah and I attended a marriage conference called "Focus On Marriage" at our church - The Fellowship at Cinco Ranch. It was an all day affair and even if our marriage is not headed for that cliff, it was nice to be "refreshed" with tips, scripture and biblical ways to make our marriage a little better. Besides, when did good become not good enough? Today just helped me to realize how great my husband is and how much he does for me. It made me want to love him a little more each day and love him as Jesus loves us.
But back to reality. I walked in to a half naked Jack, and hyper Juliana and a sleepy Jacie. My kiddos had a great time with Grammy and it was nice to have some time with Jer, but I wouldn't give up being with my kids for anything. Besides, life would be a little boring other wise. :)
